Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault which took place in Gloucester last month.
It was reported that a man had made threats towards another man before punching him in the face several times.
This took place on Bristol Road in Quedgeley, near to the junction for Olympus Park and Merlin Drive, at around 7.40pm on Sunday 24 August.
The victim, a man aged in his 40s, sustained serious facial injuries and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.
A 33-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident and later released on bail, however investigating officers would like anyone who saw what happened to make contact.
Investigating officers are also appealing for dashcam or CCTV footage which could assist the investigation.
