Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man riding a motorcycle assaulted a dog walker in Wotton-under-Edge.
It was reported that the rider of a silver motorcycle had followed a man who was walking his two dogs before making threats and grabbing him around the throat.
The rider of the motorcycle drove off in the direction of the town centre following the incident.
He was described as being a white man in his late 50s or early 60s. He was of a medium build, wore glasses and had a small moustache. He was wearing silver motorbike leathers and a helmet with black detailing around the visor area.
The incident took place on Pitman Place at around 8.30pm Thursday 17 July.
Investigating officers have conducted a number of enquiries and are now asking anyone who was in the area or who has dashcam or CCTV footage they feel is relevant to make contact.
