A man has died and a second man is in hospital with serious injuries following a single-vehicle collision on the B4425 between Aldsworth and Burford.
Emergency services were called at around 10pm yesterday, Tuesday 25 November, and officers attended.
They located a Mercedes-Benz SLK which had left the road and despite the best efforts of attending officers, a man who was aged in his 20s and from West Oxfordshire, died at the scene.
A 19-year-old man sustained injuries which are believed to be serious, but not life-threatening, and he was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital by paramedics. He remains there today (Wednesday) for treatment.
Road closures were put in place to allow for a collision investigation and the road was reopened at around 11am after the vehicle was recovered.
Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who drove along the road between 9pm and 10pm and who may have dashcam footage, to contact police.
