Roads Policing officers are appealing for information after a cyclist was found injured in Stroud yesterday morning (Monday 10 November).
It was reported that a man who had been riding a bicycle was found unconscious opposite the BP Garage on London Road at around 10am.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 60s, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment to serious injuries where he remains at this time.
The man had left Five Valleys at around 9.15am and it is believed that he may have been unconscious for around 30 minutes before being found by members of the public.
He had been wearing a distinctive fluorescent yellow jacket, helmet and backpack along with blue trousers.
It is currently unknown how the cyclist became injured with enquiries ongoing to establish what happened.
Officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time or saw the man riding his bicycle to make contact. They would also like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage they feel may be relevant.
