Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Gloucester on Saturday evening (15 November) to come forward.
It was reported that at around 9.10pm on Worcester Street a man assaulted another man, causing injuries to the victim's face and arm.
It is believed that after the suspect punched the victim and assaulted him in the road, he got into a red car and drove away from the scene.
Police were called and attended in order to locate the suspect.
A 20-year-old man from Gloucester was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident. He was later released under investigation while further enquiries take place.
At the time of the incident it is understood that there were several people in the area who may have seen what happened, as well as motorists driving past.
Investigating officers are now keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage or CCTV of the incident, or from anyone who witnessed what happened and who has not already spoken to police.
