Officers investigating a report of a man who made threats of violence towards a charity shop worker in Gloucester are appealing for a customer who witnessed the incident to come forward.
It was reported that a man entered the Salvation Army on Eastgate Street between 12.30pm and 1pm on Saturday 25 January and become verbally abusive towards a woman who worked in the shop and made numerous threats to hit her.
A male customer, who had been in the changing room, overheard the man threatening the victim and came out to help her. The suspect then left the premises.
Investigating officers would now like to speak to the man who offered assistance and are asking him to make contact.
Anyone else who was in the shop at the time of the incident and may have seen what happened is also urged to get in touch.
