A second man has been arrested in connection with an incident in Cheltenham town centre in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
The man, who is aged in his 30s and from Cheltenham, has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
Officers are not searching for anyone else in connection with the incident.
The two men who have been arrested remain in custody for questioning.

A scene guard has been in place in Cheltenham town centre this morning following an incident which happened overnight.
At around 12.25am today, Monday 16 June, police received a report that two men had assaulted another man, causing injuries to his head.
This happened at the junction of the High Street, Promenade and North Street, near to Boots and Clarks, known locally as Boots Corner.
Officers attended and provided medical assistance to the man, who was also being helped by members of the public, and police searched the area for the suspects.
Paramedics then attended and took the man, who is aged in his 40s, to hospital for treatment to a laceration to his head. He has since been discharged.
A man aged in his 20s and from Cheltenham has been arrested today on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.
Enquiries are ongoing to locate a second suspect.
A cordon had been in place while investigative work took place at the scene and this has since been removed.
Officers are in the early stages of an investigation, and at this time it is understood that those involved are known to each other.
Police have thanked local businesses and the public for their patience while enquiries took place.
