Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman sustained a head injury in Cheltenham during the early hours of this morning (Friday 4 July).
Officers were called to Montpellier Walk at 12.05am with a report that a woman with a head injury had been found near to Rotunda Terrace.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment where she remains in a serious but stable condition at this time.
A scene guard is currently in place on Montpellier Walk whilst enquiries are ongoing to establish how the woman sustained her injury.
Officers are keen from hear anyone from was in the nearby area at the time and saw what happened or who has CCTV or dashcam footage they feel is relevant.

A 64-year-old man from Cheltenham has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident and remains in police custody for questioning.
