Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained facial injuries following an assault in Gloucester earlier this month.
Police were called with a report that an altercation had broken out in front of Robinswood Children's Centre at around 3pm on Thursday 9 January.
It was reported that the victim, a man in his 20s, was punched in the face by another man sustaining a broken jaw which required surgery.
As a result of being punched, the victim fell into the road and was struck by a passing vehicle.
A 44-year-old man from Gloucester was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident. He was later released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Investigating officers have conducted CCTV and house to house enquiries in the area and are now keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or has dashcam/mobile phone footage which they feel is relevant.
