Officers are appealing for witnesses after two people were injured during an assault in Cheltenham last week.
Police were called to Cotswold Kebab on High Street at around 2.30am on Thursday 2 January with a report that a man had kicked another man who was on the floor.
The victim left the scene before police arrived but witnesses described him as being covered in blood. Officers are asking the victim to come forward so they can check on his welfare and find out what happened.
A woman, who tried to protect the victim and stop the assault, was kicked in the face multiple times and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.
The offender could not be located however he was described as being a mixed heritage man with long curly hair.
As well as wanting to speak to the victim, officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or has CCTV/dashcam/mobile phone footage which they feel is relevant.
