A previously stolen bicycle has been located and returned to its owner however officers are asking for a witness who saw the theft to come forward.
Police were called last Thursday morning (6 February) with a report that an £8,000 electric mountain bike had been stolen from outside Post Office on Bath Road.
It was reported that a man had stolen the bicycle from the street before cycling away on it. He was described as being a white man who was of a medium height and build. He had short dark hair, a stubbly beard, was wearing dark clothing and only had one shoe on.
A number of people were in the area at the time, including a woman who had been riding her motorbike and saw what happened so attempted to follow the suspect.
We’re asking this woman and anyone else with information, dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
