Officers have released an image of man they would like to speak to in connection with the assault of two men on Cheltenham High Street.
It was reported that a man was stood outside Premier Stores at around 4am on Tuesday 24 December when a group of four men approached.
An argument broke out between the man and one of the men the group, who then punched the man in the face.
Following this, a second man who was also outside the shop then began to fight with the assailant, who then punched him in the face and caused him to fall to the ground.
The group of men then left the scene.
The second man who was assaulted sustained a broken leg and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to be treated.
Investigating officers have conducted CCTV enquiries in the area and are now asking for the public’s help to identify the man pictured below.
Officers appreciate that the image isn't the clearest but are hopeful that someone may still recognise the man.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured or who has any information about what happened is asked to complete the following online form quoting incident 54 of 24 December: www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
