A woman has died following a serious collision in the Cotswolds this afternoon (Wednesday 10 December).
Emergency services were called to Arlington Pike in Bibury just before 12.10pm with a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and the driver of a car.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin are aware and being supported by specially trained officers.
The driver of the car, a man also aged in his 80s, was taken Great Western Hospital in Swindon to be assessed.
Road closures remain in place on Arlington Pike at the junctions for the B4425, Grove View and Hay Lane while emergency services remain at the scene.
Investigating officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
