The Cheltenham Neighbourhood Policing Team is holding a bike marking extravaganza this weekend.
This will see the team visit eight different locations across Cheltenham on Saturday (14 September) bringing free bike marking to our communities.
The team will be visiting the following locations:
• Up Hatherley Library and Swindon Village Hall from 9am to 11am
• Tivoli (St James and St Phillips Church car park) and Whaddon (Cornerstones) from 11am to 1pm
• Sandford Park (by the play area) and Pittville Pump Room from 2pm to 4pm
• Charlton Kings (The Beeches) and the Honeybourne Line (by the play area near the train station) from 4pm to 6pm
This is a great way to get your bike security marked for free and added to Bike Register. All you need to do is come along with your bike, complete a registration form, be armed with a valid email address and a home or mobile phone number.
Inspector Steve Benbow said: "Our previous bike marking events have been a huge hit and we thought what better than to bring this opportunity to your door.
"Bike crime is one of our priorities and we want to register as many people as possible on the Bike Register database to prevent bikes being stolen and help reunite previously stolen bikes with their owners.
"The team looks forward to seeing you all there and are asking for details of the event to be shared with anyone who may be interested in attending."
