A417 partially closed following multi-vehicle collision

Officers have closed a stretch of the A417 following a multi-vehicle collision this afternoon (Sunday 8 September).

Emergency services were called shortly after 4.40pm with a report of a collision involving four vehicles near to the Golden Heart Inn.

A closure is in place on the Birdlip bypass between the Air Balloon roundabout and Nettleton Bottom.

The Cowley roundabout is also closed due to the collision.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
