Police are appealing for information after a man reported having his Rolex watch stolen during a distraction theft in Cirencester yesterday (Thursday 10 October).
It was reported that the victim's watch, which is valued at £5000, had been stolen by a woman who claimed to be taking signatures for a survey about blood pressure.
At around 10.30am the woman, who was carrying a clipboard, approached the man in The Brewery car park and persistently asked him to sign her form.
After reluctantly doing so, the man walked away and realised his watch was missing from his wrist a short time later.
The woman is described as being in her mid to late 20s, with an eastern European accent, around 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing a blue head scarf.
Investigating officers are asking anyone who witnessed what happened or who has information on the identity of the woman to complete the following online form quoting incident number 111 of 10 October: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/tua/tell-us-about/cor/tell-us-about-existing-case-report/
