Four males have been arrested in connection with a drugs supply conspiracy after a police pursuit in Cheltenham last night (Wednesday 2 October).
At around 8.50pm a vehicle, which was suspected to have been used in drugs supply throughout Gloucestershire and Avon & Somerset Police areas, was spotted near Shurdington.
An officer in an unmarked police vehicle then pursued the Skoda after the driver sped away, reaching speeds of up to 70mph in a 30mph zone.
The vehicle contained multiple passengers and police pursued it as it travelled into Cheltenham, and then the car stopped in the Benhall area and they all fled.
Officers put on a containment of the area with support from the dogs and drone unit.
Four males who were believed to be occupants of the Skoda were subsequently arrested.
A large quantity of cash was seized from the Skoda and off one of those arrested, which is believed to link to the supply of drugs.
Three males from Cheltenham, aged 16, 20 and 22, and an 18-year-old from Bristol remain in police custody.
Between them they have been arrested on suspicion of the supply of class B drugs, handling/receiving stolen goods and theft of a vehicle.
