Police are appealing for information following an assault in Cheltenham town centre.
Officers are investigating a report that two men had been arguing on The Promenade, close to Nilam Place, before one of the men attacked the other, punching him to the head.
The victim, who is aged 25 and from Worcester, needed hospital treatment and required stitches as well as sustaining a concussion.
A number of lines of enquiry have been pursued by officers into the incident, which took place at around 5am on Saturday 27 July.
They are now appealing for anyone who has not already spoken to police to come forward. They would also like to talk to anybody who may have mobile phone footage of the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident 52 of 27 July: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/
