Police are appealing for information after the driver of a van failed to stop following a collision with a child in Cheltenham this morning (Thursday 24 October).
Officers were called to a report that an eight-year-old girl had been involved in a collision on Swindon Road at around 8.35am.
The driver of the vehicle, which was described as a Transit type van with a trailer behind it, left the scene following the collision.
The girl was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
Officers are now trying to trace the van and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. They would also like to speak to anyone with dashcam footage which they believe to be relevant.
Anyone with information can contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through the website, quoting incident 87 of 24 October: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-matter-involving-driving-vehicles-or-a-road-traffic-incident/
