Police are appealing for witnesses following a report three masked men attempted to break into a home in Abbeydale, Gloucester.
The incident happened at around 7pm on Thursday 17 October at an address on Rumsey Close.
The offenders smashed the glass of a back door and when they were disturbed by a neighbour, they fled the scene in a black car.
At the time of the offence the homeowners were away.
Officers attended however the vehicle was not located, and police are now appealing for anyone who has information or CCTV footage to come forward.
