Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained serious injuries following an assault in Gloucester last month.
The incident happened between midnight and 12.35am on Eastgate Street on Saturday 26 October.
It was reported that a man and woman were walking by the Three phone shop when they were approached by a group of men.
The group then attacked the man and knocked him unconscious before fleeing the scene.
The victim, a man in his 20s, also sustained fractures to his jaw and nose and was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The man and woman involved in the incident were unable to provide a description of the suspects.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspects and officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.
