Police have released an e-fit of a man they would like to identify and speak to in connection with an attack on a 12-year-old girl in Chalford, Stroud earlier this month.
On Monday 13 May at around 4.15pm the girl was walking on Marle Hill when an unknown man who had been walking in front of her, stopped to let her pass by.
As she went to walk past him, the man grabbed the girl, pushed her into some bushes and pinned her to the floor.
The victim screamed for help and the suspect ran off down the hill in the direction of Dark Lane and London Road. The girl was not injured but shaken up by what happened.
The offender is described as being a white man with a slim, athletic build, aged between 18 and 25 and with a round face and short fair hair.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a white or light grey jumper, black shorts, long socks and trainers.
Officers have made a number of enquiries and are now appealing to the public for help in identifying the man pictured.
Anyone who has any information or relevant CCTV or doorbell footage is asked to contact police quoting incident 436 of 13 May.
