Officers are appealing for witnesses after a pellet from a BB gun was fired out of a car in Tewkesbury over the weekend hitting a woman.
Police were called to High Street at around 9.45pm on Saturday (15 June) with a report that a woman had been walking down the path when the rear passenger of a passing car rolled the window down and fired at her with a BB gun.
The victim stated that she felt a plastic pellet hit her near the nose causing a small red mark. She described the man who aimed at her as being a white man in his early 20s who had light coloured hair.
The car was described as a navy blue BMW estate and the driver put their foot down and sped off towards Mythe Bridge after the incident happened.
A number of people were in the area at the time and officers are asking anyone with information, who saw the car or may also have been targeted to make contact. They would also like to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage they feel may be relevant.
