A woman has been killed in a collision involving a car and motorbike on the B4014 between Tetbury and Malmesbury last night (Wednesday 31 July).
The collision, which involved a Volvo C70 and a Kawasaki ZR motorcycle, happened shortly after 5.30pm close to Long Newnton.
The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old woman from Swindon, was declared dead at the scene. Her next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
The driver of the Volvo, a 78-year-old woman, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries.
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and the road will remain closed between Tetbury and Malmesbury for the coming hours.
Anyone with information or who has relevant dashcam footage is asked to come forward.
