Two men have been arrested and a man is in hospital following an assault in Gloucester city centre in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 21 July.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened at around 12.25am on Wellington Street.
A call was made to police reporting a fight taking place in the street, and when officers attended a man was found collapsed nearby on Eastgate Street.
He was taken to hospital where he remains for treatment.
Two men, aged 25 and 36 and from Gloucester, were both arrested on suspicion of assault and they remain in police custody for questioning.
