A teenage boy was arrested after it was reported that a moped was being ridden dangerously in Cheltenham yesterday (Thursday 4 July).
It was reported that the moped was being ridden along the pavement on Warden Hill Road at around 3.20pm.
Officers from the Neighbourhood Policing and Specialist Operations teams conducted enquiries after receiving the reports and identified the rider of the moped.
Earlier today, a 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and theft of a motor vehicle in connection with the incident. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Investigating officers are asking anyone who was in the area yesterday and saw the moped or has dashcam/CCTV/mobile phone footage to make contact.
