Road closure following serious collision in Cheltenham

Police have closed Swindon Road in Cheltenham following a serious collision this afternoon (Thursday 4 July).

Emergency services were called shortly before 2.20pm with a report of a collision involving a lorry and cyclist outside Funky Warehouse.

The rider of the bicycle, an elderly woman, has been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

Swindon Road has been closed from the Kingsditch/Wymans Lane roundabout to Windyridge Road.

Motorists are asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area.
