Road closure following collision on A48

Officers have closed the A48 at Chaxhill following a collision this evening (Thursday 18 July).

Police were called shortly after 5.25pm with a report of a collision between a motorcyclist and van.

The rider of the motorbike has been taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

The A48 is currently closed from Elton Corner while emergency services remain at the scene. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes.

A subsequent collision has also taken place near to The Severn Bore Inn, Minsterworth however no-one has been injured.
