Police are appealing for a Good Samaritan to come forward following a serious assault in Cheltenham on Thursday night (25 July).
Officers would like to speak to the person who drove an injured man to hospital following the attack, which took place at a property on Hawthorn Road in Hester’s Way.
The male passer-by was flagged down by the victim, who had significant facial injuries, sometime before 8pm, shortly after the assault took place.
He was driven to Cheltenham General Hospital before being transferred to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment. He has since been released and is being safeguarded.
Police are now urging the driver to come forward and give details of what he has seen.
They would also like to speak to anybody else who may have information about the incident.
Two men from Cheltenham, one aged in his 20s and the other in his 50s, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They remain in police custody while enquires continue.
