Police have arrested a man following the theft of a high performance car from Cheltenham.
Shortly after 2.40am this morning (Thursday 18 July), officers received a report that a BMW had been stolen from a property in Prestbury.
The vehicle was spotted travelling out of Cheltenham and towards Evesham. The stolen car was later found by police after it was abandoned in Evesham.
A car linked to the burglary was found at a caravan park in the town and officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
The man remains in police custody and enquiries are continuing.
