Detectives are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Cheltenham last night (Wednesday 24 July).
Police were called to the area of the Honeybourne Line footpath at around 7.30pm following reports of men arguing loudly.
Upon attendance, three men were located and one of them had an injury to his leg which appeared consistent with a slash wound.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Two men, aged 43 and 47, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody at this time.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who was on the Honeybourne Line around the time of or just prior to the incident and may have witnessed the group of men and a subsequent altercation.
