Officers investigating the assault of a seven people in Cheltenham last month have issued a description of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
Five men and two women, aged between 19 and 31, were outside Hatchards bookshop on the Promenade at around 5am on Sunday 17 December, when they were approached by an unknown man who started swinging punches at them.
The assailant struck all seven members of the group and seriously injured a man in his 30s who was hit in the head and knocked unconscious.
The victim also sustained a cut lip and was left with a bleeding wound on the back of his head. He was taken to hospital where he was treated for a bleed on the brain and a fractured skull.
