Four teenage boys are in custody after officers responded to reports of a burglary in Bishops Cleeve in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Police were alerted to the break-in at a supermarket off Evesham Road at around 4.30am after damage had been caused to the doors to gain access.
Officers attended and spotted three boys who were running away, and one who was on a bike with a large bag.
Following a pursuit four arrests were made and a ditched bag, which was full of alcohol, was located. Another bag full of items was also later recovered.
Two boys from Gloucester, aged 16 and 17, and two 17-year-old boys from Cheltenham were arrested on suspicion of burglary. They remain in custody for questioning.
