Police investigating a burglary in Fairford earlier this month are appealing for information to help locate a ring which was stolen during the incident.
Two safes containing cash, jewellery, a Rolex watch and documents were taken during the break-in, which is believed to have happened sometime between 1.30pm and 5.20pm on Sunday 8 December.
Offenders smashed a patio door to gain entrance to the property before searching through cupboards and drawers and causing damage to some furniture.
A unique, three-stone emerald and diamond ring, which has the word ‘Jessie’ stamped on the inside of the gold band, was amongst the jewellery taken.
CCTV and house to house enquiries have been carried out in the area and officers are now urging any witnesses to come forward.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area that week or who has CCTV or dashcam footage which they believe is relevant is asked to make contact. Officers would also like to hear from anyone who is offered the ring for sale.
