Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man sexually assaulted a teenage girl while on a bus in Gloucester.
It was reported that the teenager was sat at a bus stop on Clarence Street at around 9pm on Saturday 7 December when a man approached her and got on the same number 1 bus.
The unknown man sat next to the girl once on the bus, which was heading to Matson, and sexually assaulted her by rubbing her leg and kissing her hand without her consent.
He then commented on the 15-year-old girl's physical appearance and said that she should go home with him.
Another passenger on the bus noticed what happened, asked the girl if she was ok and made sure she was able to get off the bus and to a place of safety.
Investigating officers are keen to hear from the woman who helped and anyone else who was on the bus who may have information which could assist them.
The man was described as being white, aged in his 60s, around 5ft 9ins tall, of a slim build, had a grey buzz cut and spoke in a Gloucester accent.
He was wearing gold framed glasses which had foggy lenses, a black coat and was carrying a brown bag which had chips inside.
CCTV enquiries are ongoing and police are now asking for anyone who witnessed what happened or who saw the man to make contact with them.
