Police are appealing for help in identifying a man they would like to speak to in connection with an assault in Cheltenham.
Officers were called to the High Street at around 1am on Wednesday 29 May with a report of an altercation involving two men and a man and a woman outside Pepe’s Piri Piri.
It was reported that two men approached the couple and a fight had broken out. One of the men is said to have grabbed the woman and put her in a choke hold.
A man in his 40s sustained a suspected dislocated shoulder and cuts to his face after being punched and kicked during the incident. It is believed he later sought hospital treatment for his injuries.
A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning ABH and has since been bailed pending further enquires.
Following a number of enquiries, officers have now released a CCTV image and are appealing to the public for help.
Investigating officers would also like to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incident.
A number of people were in the area at the time of the incident and are believed to have tried to stop the altercation.
Officers are now asking anyone who has not yet spoken to police to make contact.
