Officers are appealing for witnesses to a robbery which took place in Gloucester earlier this week.
Police were called to Westgate Street shortly after 3.25am on Wednesday (7 August) with a report that a man had been threatened with a knife and robbed of his laptop.
The victim stated that he was walking along the footbridge by Westgate Street when a man came up from behind, put a knife to the side of his neck and demanded to be given his laptop.
The suspect then swiped a knife at the victim causing a small cut to his cheek which did not require medical treatment.
Officers conducted searches of the area and located a man nearby who matched a description given by the victim.
A 32-year-old man from Gloucester was subsequently arrested on suspicion of robbery and later released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Despite the arrest, investigating officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police to make contact.
As well as this, officers would like to hear from anyone who may have filmed the incident on their mobile phone or have dashcam or CCTV footage.
