Volunteer Aston Project – Project for Young People

Are you passionate about young people and see them as our future?

Could you provide a positive role model to them and help them through the ups and downs of life?

Become part of a team in a local area with our Aston team.

We are looking for volunteers to work closely with the Aston staff and support group activities in the local areas and wider. Our young people take part in community work and earn credits to collect and spend on activities.

You will work closely with the Aston staff and support their activities.

The role is flexible and built around what you are able to give. In line with the young person’s education this role will include evening, weekend and school summer holiday work.

Role Responsibilities

You will assist the lead Aston team member on providing activities for the team members.

You will be engaging with young people, learning about their lives and providing a listening ear for them. You will act as an additional member of staff to support both practically and helping the Aston young people to develop themselves when they engage in group activities.

Safeguarding underpins everything we do and this should be at the forefront of everything.

Training

Safeguarding training will be given and additional training will be offered in line with the role, including familiarisation with the Constabulary and the use of appropriate systems.
