Application requirements for research
Your application must be supported by a university supervisor/s
Your application must outline the proposed benefits and practical applications for the Constabulary
You must have at least ethical approval in principle for your proposed research project (to include for example: adherence to GDPR regulations - you can attach any relevant certificates or signed letters from supervisor/s)
Once you have filled in these forms completely, please email them to us. If you have any questions or queries, please contact us on the same email address.
When you send us your proposal, you should expect to hear back from us within four weeks. Your proposal will be reviewed by our internal Research Team and appropriate Subject Matter Experts. In the event that your proposal is declined, you will be given feedback which you may choose to use to improve and resubmit the proposal.
The Constabulary’s Expectations
If your proposal is approved, the Constabulary will expect the following commitments from you, the researcher:
We will expect regular updates on the project (two sides of A4 every 3 months – images permitted, or as appropriate)
A two page summary and recommendations document upon completion (or as appropriate)
No work is to be published externally without the explicit consent of the Constabulary (including national and/or international academic journals, internal university documents, including intranet and internet publication.)
Gloucestershire Constabulary retains the right to publish your research on our intranet for the force to view – this is not a public site and can only be accessed within the Constabulary.
