Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspected racially aggravated assault which took place in Cheltenham on Tuesday (7 September).
A member of the public reported seeing a man being assaulted whilst on the High Street at around 12.15am. They also reported hearing racial comments being made towards the victim.
It was stated that a man got out of a red Vauxhall Corsa and went into a kebab shop on the corner of High Street and Ambrose Street where a verbal altercation began. This went out into the street where the victim was chased and assaulted.

He was in the company of a white woman who had long dark hair which was tied back, she was wearing a white top and blue jeans.
