Witness appeal after incident in Cheltenham park

Police are appealing for witnesses to an incident in a Cheltenham park yesterday, Wednesday 4 August, where a man was seen to be committing a lewd act.

It was reported that between 5pm and 6pm inside the Imperial Gardens near to the marquee a man was masturbating.

There were a number of people in the area at the time and investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone else who was there and witnessed what happened.

Officers attended and a 33-year-old man from Cheltenham was arrested in connection with the incident. He was later released under investigation pending further enquiries.
