Two wanted men were arrested by Gloucestershire Constabulary this morning, Tuesday 21 September, as part of joint warrants with West Mercia and Sussex Police.
The eight warrants began at 6am and were executed at locations in Cheltenham and Worcestershire as part of investigations into a serious assault in Cheltenham last month and a burglary at Arundel Castle in West Sussex.
Jamie Peart, aged 20, and Callun Harris, aged 18, both from Cheltenham, were arrested after being wanted in connection with a serious assault and violent disorder on 12 August. Both remain in custody at this time for questioning.
Specialist search officers attended and helped colleagues from Sussex with searches at the locations before seizing a number of items linked to their investigation.
Four additional men were arrested by West Mercia Police in connection with an alleged burglary, assault and drugs offences while a man was arrested by Sussex Police in connection with a burglary at Arundel Castle.
Detective Inspector Di Blandford said: “I am pleased that we have been to execute these warrants after a lot of time and effort went into planning them.
"Partnership working with our colleagues from Sussex and West Mercia Police allowed for a number of individuals to be arrested, thorough searches to take place and resulted in the discovery of a cannabis grow.
"The execution of this morning's warrants goes to show the successes that can be had when police forces work together and I would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work."
