Three boys have been arrested in connection with an incident in Cirencester where a man was hit in the face with a piece of wood.
Two of the boys, aged 15, were arrested yesterday (Saturday 17 June) after information was provided by the public following an appeal.
A 14-year-old boy also handed himself in at a police station last night.
The arrests are in connection with an incident on Somerford Road on Tuesday evening (13 June) when a group of boys shouted at the victim and then hit him in the face with a piece of wood.
This happened on the bridge over the A429 at around 7.15pm and left the victim, a man in his 50s, with facial and head injuries which required treatment at hospital.
The three boys have since been released on bail with conditions which include not to associate with each other.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police, or who has dashcam footage, is asked to make contact.
