Road closures are in place in Abbeymead, Gloucester following a serious collision involving a pedestrian and a car earlier this afternoon, Monday 7 June.
Emergency services are at the scene on Lobleys Drive and one person has been taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by air ambulance with suspected serious injuries.
The incident was reported to police at around 12.30pm and investigating officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
Closures are in place from Lobleys Drive to Coopers Edge, Brockworth at the M5 over bridge and are likely to remain in place for some time. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
