UPDATE at 7.50am on Tuesday 30 May: The road closures have now been lifted - thanks for your patience and cooperation. A man surrendered himself to police and no-one was injured.
Original press release: Road closures are in place in Stroud due to an ongoing incident on A46 Bath Road.
The closures are in place on the A46 Bath Road between the A419 Dr Newton's Way roundabout and the Dudbridge Road junction.
Rodborough Hill is also closed at the Walkley Hill junction to prevent traffic heading down Rodborough Hill and towards the A46 Bath Road.
These closures are in place while negotiators and armed police attend an ongoing incident with a man who has refused to leave a property.
Police have been in attendance since around 1am today, Tuesday 30 May.
People are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes while police remain at the scene.
