Police have closed the A417 at Crickley Hill following a two vehicle collision this afternoon (Thursday).
Emergency services were called at 4.35pm with a report that a Volkswagen and Jaguar had collided at the bottom of the hill.
The occupants of the cars are currently being assessed by paramedics.
Both lanes are blocked for those travelling up Crickley Hill with delays building in the area.
A closure has been put into place at the Air Balloon Roundabout so that stationary traffic can be turned around.
Emergency services remain at the scene with motorists asked to plan ahead and avoid the area.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed what happened or has dashcam footage of the collision to please get in contact.
