There was a large police presence in the Walton Cardiff area of Tewkesbury in the early hours of yesterday morning (Sunday 5 February) as officers responded to an incident.
Police were called to Daffodil Drive shortly after 4am with a report of a disturbance between a group of people in which a man sustained stab wounds to his back and leg.
Armed officers attended after information was received about weapons being involved and three people, two men and a woman, were arrested in connection with the incident.
One person remains in custody as part of the investigation, while the two others have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and has since been discharged following treatment.
It is believed that those involved are known to each other.
Local officers have been taking part in reassurance patrols in the area, part of which includes speaking to local residents about what happened and allowing them to raise any community concerns.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking anyone who has not yet spoken to officers to make contact. Additionally they would like to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage.
