There will be ongoing police activity at an address in a Cotswolds village due to an investigation which is taking place following the death of a woman.
Police were called by the ambulance service at around 11.35am on Sunday 29 November to an address in Great Rissington, near to Bourton-on-the-Water, where a woman was found deceased.
At this early stage of an investigation the death of the woman, who is aged in her 40s, is being treated as unexplained while inquiries take place.
Her next of kin are aware and the coroner has also been informed.
Police are likely to remain in the area for a number of days while the investigation continues.
A man aged in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the woman's death and remains in police custody today, Sunday 29 November.
With the ongoing police activity Gloucestershire Constabulary want to reassure the local community that there is no wider threat to the public in connection with this incident.
