Police cordons are in place in Mathews Way, Stroud following a serious incident there in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 6 February).
A man suffered wounds in a suspected stabbing at around 12.40am.
Earlier this afternoon two men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and one woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and all remain in police custody.
The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment. He remains there in a stable condition.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information about the incident who has not yet spoken to police, is asked to call 101 quoting incident 18 of 6 February.
