Police are appealing for witnesses following a road rage incident in Cheltenham on Saturday (9 July) which closed the road temporarily.
Officers were called to Princess Elizabeth Way shortly after 10am with a report of a man making threats following a road rage incident.
Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed a verbal altercation in the Sainsbury’s area of Tewkesbury Road between the drivers of a silver BMW 3 series and a silver Ford Zetec.
During the altercation one man produced a realistic imitation handgun and threatened the other.
One man, aged 28 and from Tewkesbury, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and affray. He has since been released under investigation.
Officers would also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam or CCTV which may help the investigation.
